Voodoo Fest 2008 ~ My personal video collection

Voodoo Music Experience: The Tenth Ritual

New Orleans, LA

October 24, 25, and 26, 2008

The best "experience" in years. The weather was beautiful, the people were fun and respectful, the crowd was record breaking, the music/art/talent was amazing and NOLA security is simply the best!

Special thanks to Mars Volta and extra special thanks to NINE INCH NAILS!!!!

First, I give you Nine Inch Nails' opening song "1000000" ~ all of it.
(from the main stage)

(I think you, Mr. Reznor, need to move back "home"!)

Why must professional camera men always get in my way?
;)

**************************
Then, one of my personal favorites, "Closer"! Ummm...hmmm....
All of that one too!

*******************************
A bit of their AMAZING light show!

*********************************

The last NIN song I was able to record. My darn memory card was full!

And, there was so much more magic to capture!

(I did have another memory card. I was just having too much fun singing, dancing, jumping and smiling to take the time to change cards.)

****************************************************
MARS VOLTA

I was very, very impressed with their live performance!

Just watch Thomas, the drummer (especially in my third video). WOW!!!!
I hear I shot the best Thomas footage of the day!
*another huge smile*

I liked them! I liked them very much.

Thank you, Manchester Orchestra!

I did do a little more Voodoo~ing on Sunday; but, I forgot my camera and I was too darn exhausted (and sore) to last the entire day. Yes, I missed Panic At The Disco, Cowboy Mouth and R.E.M.

*hangs head in shame*

Oh well, NEXT TIME!

A few photos for you all.

Excellent!

*rubs hands in anticipation*

As it is 1:20am here at the moment however, I must not disrupt the sleeping!

I will be very much looking forward to a lunchtime run-through of your videos tomorrow!

See you in around 12 hours!

Helloooooo!

OMGosh, that was great!

Great position for NIN! And wow what a lot of hits you're getting for Mars Volta!

I see what you mean about the MV drummer. He's just a blur of arms, leg and hair! Brilliant, and yet also strangely mesmerising. When he lost his stick at the end of your third video, he just kept going without missing a beat.O_O

Manchester Orchestra - okay, I confess I did momentarily ask myself why there was an Orchestra from the UK at VoodooFest. Yep, I did roll my eyes at myself! It looks like you weren't the only one who enjoyed them, from reading the comments. =)

Thank you for sharing your videos. It looks a great festival to go and see. Unfortunately, we no longer have multiple day festivals here, so it's interesting to see the scale and variety of a bigger annual one like yours.

Glad you and your niece had such a super time. =)

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at VooDoo fest Sugarplum.

I do recall the Fuse channel recently filmed a program taking place at the festival. It was on TV just the other day!

Awesome pictures, and wonderful review, if I do say so myself :)

I haven't been to a concert since August, but I'm kinda wanting to go see Metallica in January, but I don't know. I really want some of the bands from Finland to come visit here.

I hope you're well. I never did get the two emails you sent me unfortunately, but sometimes when I have problems sending emails, I go to the sent folder and resend the same email, so that way it can go through.

I do have another email address though, it's afieldofpaperflowers@yahoo.com

If you send emails from there, it's gauranteed that I will get them.

Hugs and kisses to you!
